Botran
The history of aged rums in Guatemala is strongly linked to the name Botrán, one of the founding families of IndustriasLicorerasde Guatemala. Over time, this family succeeded in perfecting the art of rum production as we know today as Botran rums, through the combination of old European traditions -as the Soleraaging system -, with the use of local resources, such as crystal-clear mountain water, specific kinds of sugar cane, very fertile soils and leading-edge processes to obtain concentrated sugar cane honey.
